And now Mary can, too!

Finally!

For those of you who have been following the epic saga of the new dining room furniture, here it is! For those of you who haven't, it's been a months long process of trying to agree with Steve, dragging the girls around to literally hundreds of furniture stores, finally deciding (on the first one I saw anyway) and then no less than three screw ups from Pottery Barn...It was worth the wait. I absolutely love it! If anyone wants a project of stripping, repairing and refinishing my grandparents old set, let me know. It's pretty, but needs a lot of TLC and I have no idea what to do with it now.

"Being You, Mom" Part II

Anyone who has or was a little sister gets this. Mary didn't quite go to all the trouble that Diana did rounding up accessories, but she aparently knows me pretty well, too.

"Being You, Mom"

Have you ever had one of those moments where all of your kids (six in my case) are playing together happily? I know it's rare, but it's happening right now at my house. We're waiting for a delivery of new dining room furniture so our dining room is empty. All of the children have spread their special blanket out on the floor and they are some kind of "escape pod". I don't really get the game, but who cares. I've got a minute to work on the laundry and post a blog. Phew!

I took this picture in late summer. Diana was really ready for school to start. She came into the kitchen and announced, "I was really bored, so I went into your closet and decided to be you, Mom." She's got me figured out to the last detail! She's even calling ahead on my cell phone to order her Starbucks mocha (no, I don't really do that! is it an option? hmm) And, I promise I wear capris with that shirt.
